about
The epicentre of creativity and imagination should be the church, reflecting the character and glory of God. – Erwin McManus

At the Creative Church Conference, we will explore the expanse of what is possible. Myths and traditions that limit will be challenged. We will be inspired by the stories of others. BUILDING A HEALTHY CHURCH CULTURE
Human beings realise they have to make the right choices to be healthy. Choices in terms of diet, rest, etc. This same intentionality has to be applied to churches in order for them to be healthy. What are the things we need to do and watch out for in order for our local assemblies to be healthy?
DEVELOPING A COMMUNICATION STRATEGY
In an age that is awash with information, we need to be sure that we are connecting rightly with our target audience. Do we even know our audience? Do we know where and how to reach them? How do we communicate just enough without overwhelming the congregation with too much information?
GROWING LEADERS
Most of today’s leaders are reminiscent of David’s mighty men – they were once in debt, distressed and discontented. The challenge is how do we raise today’s impatient, restless and vocal youth to be leaders starting now?
CHANGING LENSES
The best of us are often blindsided by biases. What we’ve been exposed to isn’t all there is to life and living. Rev. Yemi Adedeji will be telling a true life story in this regard and would also be sharing insights that will help us to be open minded in ministry in an appropriate manner.
YOUTH CHURCHES: MATTERS ARISING
It’s easy to think that what we need when starting a youth church is to create a cool ambience for them to congregate. Add good music and fun events to that. Right? Bukola ‘Bouqui’ Folayan and Liam Parker both pastors of a youthful congregation will be letting us into what it’s really like to work with young people and how to bring out the best in them.
DOING THE LORD’S WORK IN A STRANGE LAND
The maxim is clear: when you’re in Rome be like the Romans. The easier path to tread when we go out on missions to some other country, is to look for people who are similar to us. People who know where we are coming from. People who speak our language. But the Lord has called us to reach people who are not like us. How do we effectively do this?
STILL ON THE HEART OF WORSHIP
Remember that old song – Lift Jesus higher / Lift Him up for the world to see / He says if I be lifted up from the earth / I will draw all men unto me.
It is possible to drift away from the intent of worship. Worship leaders might think all that is necessary is a platform and skill. The congregation responds only when their favourite song was sung. How do we remain fastened on the heart of worship?
